THE prestigious Royal Selangor Golf Club (RSGC) is set to host the 11th RSGC Junior Invitational Golf Championship 2026 from 12 May to 14 May, marking a significant fixture in the regional youth sports calendar.
As a sanctioned counting event for the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR™), the tournament promises to draw top-tier talent from across Asia and beyond to compete on the challenging East Course.
The championship, supported by the Malaysian Golf Association (MGA), serves as a critical proving ground for the next generation of professional golfers.
Participants will have the opportunity to sharpen their skills during an official practice round scheduled for Monday, 11 May, before the three-day stroke-play competition commences.
This year’s tournament offers more than just ranking points.
In a strategic partnership aimed at fostering international exposure, a Special Prize has been announced for the best-finishing Malaysian players.
The top-performing Malaysian Boy and Girl in the Under-18 and Under-15 categories will receive an exclusive invitation to the Taiwan Youth Junior Championship 2026.
To support these rising stars, the RSGC will cover all return airline ticket expenses, while the MGA will provide comprehensive support for internal transfers, accommodation, and tournament entrance fees in Taiwan. — GenGolf
