Kelab Rahman Putra, Evergreen Fintech officially commission 346.50 kWp solar PV system

KELAB Rahman Putra Malaysia (“KRPM”), in collaboration with Evergreen Fintech Sdn. Bhd., today officially commissioned the 346.50 kWp rooftop Solar Photovoltaic (PV) System installed at the club’s premises in Bukit Rahman Putra, Selangor.

The commissioning ceremony marks a significant milestone in KRPM’s sustainability journey and reinforces both parties’ commitment towards advancing renewable energy adoption and environmental stewardship in Malaysia’s commercial and community sectors.

Developed under a Zero CAPEX renewable energy investment model, the project was fully financed, developed, installed, and will be operated by Evergreen Fintech Sdn. Bhd. as the Registered Solar PV Investor (RPVI). The model enables organisations to transition towards clean energy solutions without upfront capital expenditure while benefiting from long-term operational savings and sustainability impact.

The Solar PV installation is expected to generate approximately 8.5 million kWh of clean electricity over the 21-year project tenure, significantly reducing reliance on conventional grid electricity while contributing positively towards Malaysia’s national energy transition agenda and carbon reduction targets.

Over the project lifecycle, the system is projected to reduce approximately 6,290 tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent (CO₂e) emissions. This environmental impact is comparable to the carbon absorption capacity of approximately 7,340 acres of forest, representing a meaningful contribution towards environmental sustainability and climate action.

The commissioning ceremony was officiated by Madam Rena See Geok Kyim, President of Kelab Rahman Putra Malaysia, together with Mr Tobi Teng Zhong Ying, Asset Director of Evergreen Fintech Sdn. Bhd., in the presence of invited guests, project stakeholders, business partners, and representatives from the renewable energy industry.

Speaking during the ceremony, Mr Hewjerd Teng Zhong Hao, Chief Executive Officer of Quantum Sustainable Energy Sdn. Bhd., said:

“This project reflects Evergreen Fintech Sdn. Bhd.’s ongoing commitment to delivering sustainable renewable energy investments that provide long-term and measurable value to our clients.

For Kelab Rahman Putra Malaysia, the 346.50 kWp Solar PV system represents more than just a clean energy installation. It is a strategic long-term initiative designed to optimise electricity cost savings, enhance operational energy resilience, and further strengthen the club’s environmental, social, and governance (ESG) commitments.

Beyond the environmental contribution, the project also supports long-term operational sustainability through reduced dependence on conventional electricity sources, while contributing positively towards Malaysia’s broader energy transition agenda.”

Madam Rena See Geok Kyim, President of Kelab Rahman Putra Malaysia, added:

“Kelab Rahman Putra Malaysia is proud to collaborate with Evergreen Fintech on this meaningful sustainability initiative. Beyond the operational and financial benefits, this project reflects the club’s commitment towards responsible environmental practices and our aspiration to contribute positively towards a low-carbon future.”

The project involved the installation of high-efficiency solar PV modules across selected rooftop facilities within the club compound and was implemented together with experienced Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning (EPCC) partners under Evergreen Fintech’s renewable energy ecosystem.

Following the successful completion of testing and commissioning activities, the Solar PV System is now ready for energisation and commercial operation. — GenGolf
